Final Report

Technique and finding:

MRI pelvis was performed per and post contrast injection. No prior study available for comparison. There is a large intramural T2 hypointense mass lesion arising from the uterine fundus measuring approximately 12 X 10 X 8.5 cm on maximum craniocaudal transverse and AP dimension respectively. This mas demonstrates internal T2 hyperintensity . The mass of low signal intensity on T1 wieghted images with homogenous enhancement post contrast injection. This mass causing mass effect on the dome of urinary bladder and posterior displacement of the uterus.

Both ovaries are unremarkable. No evidence of significant pelvic lymphadenopathy.

Impression:

Large intramural uterine mass most likely representing a uterine fibroid.
